Once you find a name that is available purchase it right away. It is also recommended that you purchase names that are commonly misspelled as well as different endings (.com, .org )

A domain name should be as short as possible and very easy to spell.

http://prairielakes.net was an early ISP in Mankato. People had a difficult time spelling prairie correctly.
