The web programmer should use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for the design and page layout (not tables). This will improve your SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Include a contact form which will send customer questions as an email which is monitored on a daily basis by someone in your company. Respond to all customer inquiries within 24 hours.
Include a description meta tag that summarizes your company's product/service. (The meta tags are special elements at the top of each page. Your web programmer should know what they are and how to use them. ) This is what the search engines use when displaying search results. This is your first impression with the customer.
